Prince Edward Island Issues 168 Invitations in Latest PNP Draw Targeting Skilled Workers and Graduates
On April 17, 2025, Prince Edward Island (PEI) conducted its fourth Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw of the year, issuing 168 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for Canadian permanent residency. This draw targeted candidates under the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams, focusing on individuals already living and working in PEI for at least one year. Priority was given to those employed in key sectors such as healthcare, trades,and manufacturing, as well as international graduates from the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), Holland College, and Collège de l’Île.
This initiative reflects PEI's strategic approach to retain talent that is already contributing to the province's economy and to address immediate labor market needs. As of this draw,PEI has issued a total of 401 ITAs in 2025 under the Labour Impact and Express Entry categories.
The PEI PNP utilizes an Expression of Interest (EOI) system to assess and rank candidates based on factors such as language proficiency, education, work experience, and alignment with the province's economic priorities. The next PEI PNP draw is anticipated to occur on May 15, 2025, following the province's monthly draw schedule.
