ACT Issues 544 Invitations in Latest Canberra Matrix Draw on January 30, 2025

The Australian Capital Territory (ACT) government has released the results of its latest Canberra Matrix Invitation Round, conducted on January 30, 2025. A total of 544 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued to eligible skilled workers under the following visa subclasses:

Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190)

Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 491)

Breakdown of ITAs Issued:

The invitations were distributed across multiple applicant categories, including:

Small Business Owners – 12 ITAs for Subclass 190 and 5 ITAs for Subclass 491.
457/482 Visa Holders – 26 ITAs for individuals currently holding a Subclass 457 or 482 visa.
Critical Skill Occupations – 377 ITAs for applicants in high-demand occupations vital to the ACT economy.
Overseas Applicants (Critical Skill Occupations) – 124 ITAs for overseas candidates who met ACT’s eligibility criteria.

ACT Migration Program 2025

In this invitation round, the highest-ranked Matrix applicants in each occupation were invited to apply for nomination. Selection was based on factors such as Matrix score, occupation demand, and remaining monthly allocations. Higher demand occupations required higher Matrix scores to receive an invitation.

Skilled professionals seeking opportunities in Australia can explore the ACT Migration Program 2025, which prioritizes key sectors like IT, engineering, and healthcare.
