Canada’s CEC Express Entry Draw Hits Lowest CRS Score Yet

CEC Draw: Express Entry Cut-off Score Drops to a New Low

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued a fresh round of Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through the Express Entry system, bringing encouraging news for candidates with Canadian work experience.

In the latest draw, IRCC invited 6,000 candidates under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). The draw recorded a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cut-off score of 509, marking one of the lowest thresholds seen in recent CEC rounds and significantly improving prospects for many applicants in the pool.

To be considered in this draw, candidates were required to:

Have a minimum CRS score of 509; and

Have created their Express Entry profile on or before October 29, 2025, at 4:35 a.m. (UTC).

This development underscores IRCC’s continued focus on transitioning temporary residents and skilled workers already contributing to the Canadian economy into permanent residents. The lower CRS cut-off highlights the strength of the CEC pathway and signals positive opportunities for eligible candidates planning their Canadian permanent residence in 2026.

Candidates in or near this CRS range are advised to review their profiles and ensure their documentation is up to date to take advantage of upcoming Express Entry rounds.
