On April 17, 2025, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) conducted Expression of Interest (EOI) Draw #243, issuing 27 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) to candidates under the Skilled Worker Overseas stream.

Express Entry Candidates: 3 of the 27 LAAs were issued to candidates with valid Express Entry profile numbers and job seeker validation codes.This draw specifically targeted candidates who were directly invited by the MPNP under a strategic recruitment initiative
Next Steps for Invited Candidates:
If you received an LAA in this draw, you have 60 days from the date of the invitation to submit a complete application for permanent residence to the MPNP.
New Work Permit Option:
Starting April 22, 2025, Manitoba introduced a special work permit option for certain PNP candidates at risk of losing their legal status in Canada. These Manitoba-specific open work permits are valid for up to two years and are designed to support individuals awaiting permanent residency by allowing them to continue working legally in the province.
This initiative aims to help stabilize Manitoba’s labor market by retaining skilled foreign workers and supporting their path to Canadian permanent residence.
