Three Canadian Provinces Conduct New PNP Draws to Invite Skilled Workers and Entrepreneurs
Canada’s provincial immigration landscape continues to thrive as Manitoba, British Columbia, and Newfoundland and Labrador held fresh rounds of Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draws this week. These selections highlight the country's commitment to attracting skilled professionals and entrepreneurs to meet provincial labour demands and drive economic growth.
???????? Manitoba Invites Skilled Workers and International Graduates
On July 10, 2025, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) invited a total of 67 candidates across two immigration streams.
Of these, 40 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were issued under the International Education Stream’s Graduate Internship Pathway, prioritizing individuals who have completed their post-secondary education within Manitoba.
Additionally, 27 LAAs were issued under the Skilled Worker Stream, with the lowest-ranked candidate having a minimum score of 673. Notably, 29 out of the 67 invitations were extended to candidates who also had a valid Express Entry profile and job seeker validation code, showing Manitoba's continued alignment with federal immigration strategies.
British Columbia Holds Entrepreneur-Focused Draws
On July 8, 2025, British Columbia held its fifth round of entrepreneur-focused immigration invitations through the BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP). The province invited a total of up to 17 candidates across two streams.
Through the Entrepreneur Immigration–Base Stream,12 invitations were issued, with the minimum qualifying score set at 121. The Entrepreneur Immigration – Regional Stream invited fewer than 5 candidates, with a lower minimum score threshold of 115. These streams are designed to attract seasoned entrepreneurs capable of starting and operating businesses that benefit local communities and regional economies.
Newfoundland and Labrador Issues 320 Invitations in Latest EOI Round
On June 24, 2025, Newfoundland and Labrador held its fourth draw under the newly adopted Expression of Interest (EOI) system. The province invited a combined 320 candidates through two pathways: the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).
Specifically, 257 invitations were issued under the NLPNP, while the remaining 63 were through AIP. This draw represents the second-lowest number of invitations issued since the province began publishing its selection results in April 2025, yet it continues to reinforce Newfoundland and Labrador’s ongoing efforts to attract skilled newcomers.
