IRCC Holds Largest Express Entry PNP Draw in Over Six Months
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted its largest Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw through the Express Entry system in more than half a year — a strong signal that Canada continues to prioritize provincial nominations to meet regional workforce needs.
In this latest draw, 714 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued to candidates under the PNP category.
To be considered in this round, candidates required:
A minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 738, and
An Express Entry profile created before 2:12 a.m. (UTC) on February 22, 2025.
This draw highlights IRCC’s ongoing efforts to support Canada’s provinces and territories in addressing specific labour market shortages and attracting skilled immigrants who have already received a provincial nomination.
The PNP stream allows provinces to nominate candidates with the skills, education, and work experience required to contribute to their local economies. Once nominated, these candidates receive an additional 600 CRS points, virtually guaranteeing an invitation to apply for permanent residency.
With Canada expected to maintain strong immigration targets for 2025 and beyond, this draw reinforces the government’s commitment to distributing newcomers across all provinces and supporting regional growth.
Stay tuned for more updates on future Express Entry and PNP draws.
