AITSL Announces Fee Changes for Skilled Migration Assessments Effective 1 July 2025
The Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) has officially announced an update to its skilled migration assessment fees, which will come into effect from 1 July 2025. These changes apply to all applicants using AITSL's online portal for migration skills assessments related to teaching and education professions in Australia.
Applications Before 30 June 2025
If you are planning to apply for an AITSL skills assessment, it’s important to note that all applications submitted on or before 30 June 2025 will continue to be charged the current fee rates.Applicants are encouraged to submit their documents before this deadline to take advantage of the lower fees.
New Fee Structure from 1 July 2025
Starting 1 July 2025, the following updated fees will apply to all new applications submitted via AITSL’s online applicant portal:
Assessment of Application: AUD 1,154
(This includes a skills assessment for teachers applying under the General Skilled Migration (GSM) program.)
Appeal of Assessment Outcome:AUD 904
(For applicants who wish to challenge the outcome of their initial assessment.)
Skilled Employment Statement (SES):AUD 255
(An optional service that verifies skilled employment history relevant to teaching roles.)
Partial Refund (Application Assessment):AUD 946
(This is the amount refundable if the assessment is withdrawn or cancelled under AITSL’s refund policy).
GST Exemption:
It’s important to note that no Goods and Services Tax (GST) is applied to any AITSL fee related to migration assessments. The prices listed above are final and inclusive of all charges.
