Alberta Issues 165 Invitations!

Alberta Issues 165 Invitations!

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) continues to expand its efforts to attract skilled workers by issuing a new round of invitations to provincial immigration candidates. In its latest draws, Alberta issued 165 invitations through four targeted immigration pathways, selecting candidates with the work experience and skills needed to fill critical labour shortages across the province.

This strategic approach reflects Alberta’s commitment to strengthening its economy by addressing sector-specific workforce gaps. By targeting occupations in demand, the province ensures that newcomers are well-positioned to integrate into the labour market and contribute to Alberta’s long-term economic growth.

These recent invitation rounds highlight Alberta’s ongoing focus on building a resilient and diverse workforce, supporting industries such as technology, tourism, law enforcement, and general skilled trades through the Alberta Opportunity Stream.
?Alberta has recently issued 165 invitations to candidates through the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) across four targeted streams between April 11 and April 22, 2025. These draws aim to address labor shortages in key sectors of the province's economy.?

Recent Changes to AAIP

Effective March 17, 2025, the AAIP discontinued invitations under the “family connection” and “occupation in demand” pathways. Additionally, Express Entry profile requirements have been updated for applications submitted after September 30, 2024, to align with current program criteria.

The AAIP remains an attractive option for immigration candidates seeking permanent residency and a strong future in one of Canada’s fastest-growing provinces.
