Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted one of the largest Express Entry draws of the year, issuing 6,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residence to candidates with French-language proficiency.
This latest round marks the third-largest Express Entry draw of 2025, reflecting Canada’s ongoing commitment to promoting bilingual immigration and strengthening Francophone communities outside Quebec.

To be eligible for this draw, candidates were required to meet the following criteria:
A minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 416
An active Express Entry profile created before 3:27 p.m. (UTC) on September 8, 2025
Focus on French-Language Candidates
This draw specifically targeted candidates who demonstrated proficiency in the French language. Canada has continued to prioritize French-speaking skilled workers as part of its broader strategy to support economic growth and preserve its linguistic diversity.
By increasing the number of invitations under the French-language category, IRCC aims to attract qualified professionals who can contribute to communities across provinces and territories where French-speaking populations are growing.
