Manitoba Invites 3,347 Candidates in Latest MPNP Draw

Manitoba has taken another important step toward strengthening its labor market by inviting more than 3,000 skilled workers and international graduates to apply for provincial nomination. The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) held its latest selection round on September 4, 2025 (Draw #253), issuing a total of 3,347 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs).

Invitations by Stream

The draw covered three major immigration pathways. The International Education Stream accounted for the largest share, with 1,866 invitations issued to international graduates who completed their studies in the province. The Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream followed closely, with 1,466 invitations, including a targeted selection for citizens of Ukraine. Finally, the Skilled Worker Overseas stream invited 15 candidates with strong profiles, requiring a minimum score of 844 to qualify.

In addition, 415 of the invitations were issued to candidates who already had active Express Entry profiles, reflecting Manitoba’s coordinated efforts with Canada’s federal immigration system.

Strategic Recruitment Initiatives

A notable feature of this draw was the focus on strategic recruitment initiatives, which are designed to address specific labor shortages and community needs in the province. A total of 15 invitations were issued under these initiatives. This included 4 invitations through Employer Services, 7 through the Francophone Community, 3 through Regional Communities, and 1 through Ethnocultural Communities.

These initiatives highlight Manitoba’s proactive approach to selecting newcomers who bring the exact skills and cultural ties needed to support local businesses and communities.

Key Reminders for Applicants

The MPNP clarified that achieving the minimum score does not automatically guarantee an invitation. Candidates may still be excluded if they have expired language test results, invalid invitation numbers, or if they show stronger settlement ties to another Canadian province. Manitoba places significant importance on applicants’ genuine intention to live and build their future within the province.

Manitoba’s Commitment to Newcomers.

Through this latest draw, Manitoba continues to establish itself as a leading destination for skilled workers and international graduates. By combining broad invitations with targeted recruitment efforts, the province is providing newcomers with a clear and accessible pathway to Canadian permanent residency while also meeting its own economic and community development needs.
