Prince Edward Island (PEI) has announced significant updates to its participation in the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) to better align with the province’s labour market needs.As of January 24,2025,the PEI Office of Immigration will prioritize endorsements for AIP applications exclusively for foreign nationals working in three critical sectors:
Healthcare
Construction
Manufacturing

Eligibility Requirements Under the New AIP Guidelines in PEI:
To qualify for endorsement under the Atlantic Immigration Program in PEI, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Job Offer–Secure a full-time, non-seasonal job offer from a designated PEI employer in one of the three prioritized sectors.
Provincial Endorsement–The job offer must be endorsed by the PEI Office of Immigration.
Education–The candidate must have the required educational qualifications corresponding to the job’s National Occupational Classification (NOC) TEER category.
Language Proficiency–Meet the necessary Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) levels based on the job’s NOC TEER classification.
Work Experience–Have at least one year of relevant work experience or hold a two-year post-secondary credential obtained in an Atlantic province.
Settlement Funds–Demonstrate sufficient financial resources to support themselves and their families upon moving to PEI.
